In the First elimination game against Brookwood, HMS got their first out of the park Home Run off the bat of Shelby Brown on a 200 ft fence. The 220 ft home run helped HMS on to their 8-3 win and earned Brown a position on All Tournament along with Madison Deluka off the power of her arm over the weekend.
In the final game, they met a GREAT Thompson Team who went through the tournament undefeated as well.
They scored first with a great hitting offense and the lead grew to 7 - 0 before a double in the 5th by Wray set her up to be driven in by Deluka then the Panthers quickly put two more on the board. Unfortunately a couple of errors and some more great hitting put 3 more on the board for Thompson.
The game ended with the score of 10 - 3 with Thompson taking home the first place trophy. The Lady Panthers took home a very respectable 2nd.
The coming week has the Lady Panthers playing at Rudd on Monday, at Bragg on Tuesday, then at home on Wednesday against Pleasant Grove at 4:30 and Rudd at 6:00 before finishing the week up at Mountain Brook at another Weekend Tournament!
